The 20th Letter of the Alphabet …..

T, Tea, Cupán tae, A cuppa cha ..

However you say it if you’re Irish its likely that you drink it, make it, offer it, have a certain way of serving it, don’t make it right for someone in your family .. Tea is a national past time!
I have always been a big tea drinker although I also love coffee and would have often turned to the black stuff in times of high stress there is only one thing to do in times of upset, homesickness or thirst, with a new accquaintance or an old friend, to wash down some freshly baked goods or dip a crunchy biscuit ..put on the kettle and make tea.

Its therapeutic. Its Irish. Its us.

And the good news is Barry’s tea is now available in Australia!

Its for sale in certain Woolies (Woolworths) see here
I realise the Barry’s/Lyons debacle has divided the country and indeed families over the years but I’m a Barry’s drinker so I’m happy.

*And to prove what a national obsession it is I’ve just discoverd my blogger friend also wrote about Tea today!
